UNIVERSITI SAINS MALAYSIA WINS 9 MEDALS AT THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE NATIONAL EXPO.

Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) wins 9 medals with 3 gold this year at the Ministry of Science Technology and Environment EXPO held in Kuala Lumpur earlier this month. This represents the biggest achievement for the university in terms of medals collected. It was also the largest number of medals collected by any single institution so far.

A large EXPO was held this year to commemorate the silver jubilee of the Ministry. It was officiated by the Prime Minister and the Minister of the Environment.

MUKA HEAD OYSTER PROJECTS BAGS A GOLD MEDAL AT THE NATIONAL EXPO.

Mukahead Marine Research Station wins a gold medal at the national EXPO. The project was for the innovation of a fast growth oyster culture system. Studies in oyster culture started back in 1989. The project also addresses the bottleneck in spat production for the nations oyster industry.
